I have several apps from the Carrot team, this one being the first I have downloaded on my MacBook Pro. For $11.99, I expect an app to work from the moment I first open it. Two full restarts later, and the app continues to spin it’s wheels, struggling to find my location. Once it’s unable to find me, it simply sends me to the North Pole, as if I needed advice on what to wear in sub-zerp temps. Opening my phone (on the same wifi network, mind you) the Carrot weather app instantly loads and tells me the local weather. So whatever the problem is with this app, it needs to be sorted out, as I am not at all pleased with wasting $11.99 on an app the just makes noise and spins its wheels.I’ll give a 5 star review when it actually works.

A wonderful combination of humor and professional weather in one app! 5 stars worth of Kudos, salutes, and stuff like that to you!

And I’m not just saying this because CARROT knows where I live and has sent tornadoes to threaten me in the past, but also because this app does a lot of cool things in a fun way. The support is also very, very good and responsive on those rare occasions you do have issues.

Acurate, easy to set up, and funny what more could you want.

The basic problem with this otherwise great app is that it refuses to function if it’s not in the dock. There’s no reason for that other than arrogance on the part of its developers. That and the infrequent updates make this app somewhat limited in its utility.

Wish the mini menu didn’t go away after you clicked off it. The comments and text on the app is funny, as well as, the push notificaitons. The whole direct insulting thing isn’t the best. Like when it’s raining it’ll say “sucks for you”, and I think that is funny, but direct insults, not so much. The app works, zero flaws. Kind of expensive to be honest, but money is no good in the bank.

I have used a lot of weather app but this one is quite unique. It is fairly accurate and keeps me up to date with snarky and funny weather information. It is clean looking and creative. My only complaint is that to get weather alerts you have to buy the computer app and you have to keep your computer on. With all the other weather apps out there that provide good info and weather alerts it is a bit of a drag. However, I found the cost worth it and still like using the app.

I’ve been using this app for a few weeks, and I find it to mostly just OK. I like what they’re going for, but it lacks the polish I’d expect from a stand-out app or an Editor’s Choice. They could use just a little more love from a visual designer to unclutter and make their UI easier to read and less distracting, without losing the ‘fun’ their aiming for. The mini view is the worst offendor - give that text some breathing room! I guess I also expected more humor, but mostly it’s just the weather displayed within random, or silly boxes that move around while you’re trying to read them.

The app is hilarious, love the tidbits it has.

Some may be spooked by the price but if your looking for some laughs while getting the weather forecast this is the app for you

I recently bought this after hearing others talk about it. Checking the weather was never so fun. There are lots of little ‘extras’ that make it different from a regular weather app. I am happy with this purchase and might buy the iOS version of it too.

The sources carrot uses is very accurate. This should deserve 5 stars.

She’s quite a hoot when it comes to originality, but the lack of things you can do with her between your devices without continuing to pay for each app on each device is rather disheartening.. but still great at giving me the most accurate weather (down to the minute!) with a sense of sarcasm or twisted humor

Very easy interface, relevant information is available quickly. Great native Watch OS 2 app, also with high customizability and easy access to relevent weather info. Watch app works with Time Machine feature. I use with the Mac App and enjoy push precipitation notifications and evening/morning reports. No crashes or bugs that I can see. All-around fantastic app.

Just had this app a few days, and its fun!!! GPS has had a little trouble finding me and 1 “crash” reported to Apple, however I’m in a metal building, so this is probably a factor…I would recommend this to everyone who has a sense of humor…Just watch out for ROBOTS meatbags…LOL

Meatbags unite! We have our own app. And it even gives us the weather - done well, also.
