This is not only a weather forecasting app, it is an amusing bot. Really amusing.

Consistantly becomes a runaway process I have to manually kill if I let it sit in the menu bar for multiple days. Activity Monitor reports it using 135% of the CPU multiple times, which I would have thought not possible, but there you go. The fans on my 15” i7 2014 Macbook sound like a turbine engine when this program loses its mind. It’s a shame because I really like it on iOS. WIll look for another solution for the desktop.

Nice interface, funny robot! I’ve had more fun with this than with some games.

Great app! The weather forecasts definitely fall within the normal deviation as compared to other weather apps. The “talking” commentary is entertaining enough to actually cause me to open the app for both the weather and the dialogue! A little pricey, but it’s quite fun!

Good app, BUT every so often I find it at fault for taking up unnecessary processing power causing my mac to heat up and the fans to blast. Don’t know why this is, but it’s very annoying, please fix this stability issue!!!

This app is nice. But very expensive to equip everything I have: Mac, iPhone & Apple Watch. Two stars for one reason: I continue to be disapointed that there isn’t a source (including any apps) that will tell you how much snow has fallen after any given snow storm. We are deluged with over-the-top info before & during snow storms but what is the one question everyone wants to know after? HOW MUCH SNOW DID WE GET??

I like the app so far, but I noticed that it constantly uses between about 8% of CPU on my latest Mac Book Pro 2015. That effectively kills my battery. What gives? Can you fix that?

It’s funny and has nice graphic design. However, it has a serious CPU runaway problem. I two different macs, I repeatedly have found fans running on high and CPU temp 170-190 deg F. Until this is fixed, I will not use it any further.

The App itself is awesome. But like some of the other reviewers, I’ve noticed that the app often ends up consuming a ton of cpu (i.e. +120% in the Activity Monitor). But, Dev’s said a fix is already waiting on approval from apple.

I appreciate a lot of aspects of this App. It is accurate (yes there are some VERY inaccurate weather apps out there), nicely designed, low resource (and even lower now based on the release notes), and humerous. I find it to have all the display options I need but I refuse the use the new feature that lets you uncheck “Enable Platform Motion” becuase I like my apps the way I like myself after a pot of coffee… nice and jittery. This is a great App and I really enjoy it. You can tell that the development team had fun creating it OR are menally unstable. Either way, it is a WIN WIN for a quality app that gets regular updates and is useful and enjoyable.

Immediate, local and uncannily accurate weather…with a personality!

cant really fault it. there is a full featured weather app here once you start digging in. simply on surface, but deep.

Carrot is a breathe of fresh air in a world of stodgy and often mediocre weather apps. The data presentation is presented in a clear and easy to acess fashion. The air work is very good if not a bit flippant. And the voice feature fits my sense of humor. A well-designed package with much more room for innovation.

Despite Carrots objections I continue to poke at her “Occuler Center” and now she is hinting at a puzzle to me to reveal more things. She has weather on othere planets, some not in this solar system. I have it on my iPhone, iPad, and Macbook Pro. I do have a little issue with trying to get a report sent to me, I don’t want to stop mhy Macbook Pro into going into sleep mode, heaven forbid someone did steal it. Once it sleeps you need the PW, but once in a while I do see Macbook Pro talking to my Apple Watch. Lots of fun, worth 5 stars.

When it’s raining, this meatbag user checks with Carrot to see how long the dogs and need I need to wait for a break in the drops. Carrot mostly nails it and all of us are willing to be insulted for the chance to stay dry. She’s also good about sending push notifications that gives us a chance to dash out BEFORE it starts raining. We are fully moony over Carrot!

Hi! Does anyone know how to change the voice on the app? “Siri” is annoying!!! If I’m going to get sassed by my weather app - I want a sassy voice :)
